Our Rookies 101 Athletic Development Program (ADP) at Strength House is the perfect starting point. We focus on introducing the joy of movement and the basics of strength training in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment, setting them up for long-term success in any sport.

Purpose & Philosophy:

Our program is designed to instill positive movement habits and a love for physical activity from an early age. We believe that a strong foundation in fundamental movements and basic strength is crucial for preventing injuries, enhancing athletic potential, and ensuring a healthy, active lifestyle. Our core purpose is to:

  • Introduce Foundational Movements: Teach proper body mechanics for essential movements like squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling, and carrying.

Our Rookies 101 ADP utilizes a playful yet progressive approach, ensuring that young athletes learn effectively while staying engaged. We prioritize safety, proper form, and positive reinforcement.

  • Bodyweight & Foundational Strength: Focus on exercises that use the athlete's own body weight to build strength (e.g., squats, lunges, push-ups, planks).

  • Agility & Coordination Drills: Simple drills using cones, ladders, and various equipment to improve quickness, balance, and directional changes.

Rookies 101: Program Structure & Benefits

Designed for young athletes aged 9 and above, our Rookies 101 program provides structured, age-based class training for optimal development.

  • 8-Week Sessions: Each program runs for two months, aligning with new seasons for consistent progress.

  • 1-Hour Focused Training: Efficient and engaging sessions designed to maximize learning and development.

  • Small Class Sizes: We intentionally limit enrollment to guarantee personalized attention and superior coaching quality for every athlete.

  • Rookies 101 - Summer Block: Rookies Build Speed

    Get ready to ignite your speed! The Rookies 101 - Summer Block: Rookies Build Speed program is our very first outdoor edition of athletic development, designed to build a powerful foundation for young athletes.

    Over 8 weeks at the Strength House gym field, Rookies will immerse themselves in the fundamentals of speed and agility. This block is intensely focused on:

    • Acceleration & Change of Direction: Developing a strong comprehension and mastery of how to burst forward and efficiently change direction on the field.

    • Competitive Scenarios: Athletes will be challenged in realistic one-on-one drills and game-like decision-making situations to enhance their on-field instincts.

    • Team Building: Fostering camaraderie and teamwork, crucial elements of athletic success.

    Duration: August 11, 2025 -October 1, 2025

    Training Days: Monday/Wednesday at 4:30PM

    Price for 8 weeks: $298.96 + tax

    The Rookies 101 - Winter Block: Rookies Build Strength program is an 8-week journey designed to forge the essential strength base every young athlete needs.

    Held at the Strength House facility, this program is meticulously crafted to complement the speed and agility learned in previous blocks, ensuring a well-rounded athlete ready to excel on the field. Our Rookies will experience their crucial introduction to weight training, with every session emphasizing:

    • Build a Strength Foundation: Establishing the core strength movements to build a strong foundation in the weight room. Focus on building a srong foundation to preventinjury and develop speed and power on the field.

    • Develop the Athletic Mindset in the Weight Room: Cultivate crucial behaviors such as athletic habits and self awareness, practice effective goal setting, and build the confidence needed to thrive in a training environment.

    • Team Building: Work alongside other dedicated young athletes who share the same drive to train hard and achieve their future goals, fostering a supportive and competitive community.
